2002 - 2003

2005 - 2006

Optix Digital Pictures was a Film and Television Production Studio in Toronto. I was hired by Optix in 2002 as a 3D Artist & Modeller to work on a new Sci-Fi TV series called Starhunter. I was responsible for modelling the main ship used by the crew called The Omega Shuttle, I also created The Galantis Space Station, The Mars Hightech Facility, The enemy Beetle ships and a bunch of other ships and assets. After production completed in 2003 I left Optix to pursue a career in the Video Game industry. Fast forward 2 years later and I would return to Optix Digital Pictures in the hopes of working on a new Sci-Fi TV series staring Michael Ironside called Ice Planet. That project never materialized and I was assigned to a completely different production called It’s a Big Big World. An Emmy Nominated kids television show for PBS directed by Chris Renaud of Dispicable Me fame. My role on Big Big World was as Lead Artist and CG Supervisor for Optix Digital Pictures while onset in the Hamptons, New York. The 3D sets we created for Big Big World were rendered in realtime with actors performing in costume infront of green screens. The production used an engine called Brainstorm which was primarily used in News Broadcasts.
