Back In August of 2023, Jodi & I traveled to Hollywood, California. I brought along my Minolta XL401 Super 8 camera loaded with Kodak Ektachrome 100D.
One of the many challenges of shooting 8mm film is getting the proper exposure for your film. Thankfully, Super 8 cameras all come with an automatic lightmeter. The other challenge is shooting Ektachrome 100D. It doesn’t have much range and if your metering is off slightly, then your footage will be over exposed. This is what I suspect happened here. Slight overexposure but I still love it.
